Saint Paul!

untitled11.jpg

Here’s a painting of the Questions and Answer Guy in one of my favorite late night infomercials offer a quick and easy guide to getting grants from the government. It’s a small, powerful painting with dimensions ranging from 6″ to 8″.

In other news I just have to thank Ambush Bug and the guys at AICN for reviewing my humble webcomic. It was something they had no need to do but they did anyways so… I guess I’m grateful. I’m hoping during my next semester I’ll have more time to work on my book but I’m taking Physiology so I might be a bit busy. I feel I kind of need to complete HOW TO BE BULLETPROOF as fast as I can but logically I know it will take a while.

In final news, for the last month WILLIAM HUNG’S website has advertised on my site nonstop and it is one of the most exciting things I have experienced in some time. I’m a big fan of Hung and he is honestly the only singer I have followed from American Idol, out side of Clay Aiken of course. I’ve even heard that Hung has a movie out in Honk Kong and I’m in desperate need of seeing it.

And finally, they found water on MARS. Maybe I’ll dedicate my next post to this discovery, not this post but maybe the next. Maybe.

Until next week, live long and prosper.

A friend of mine inform me of how bad my News essay was this week so I decided to augment my previous statement. To abbreviate what I originally wrote, here’s a video I found through AIN’T IT COOL NEWS and my comic is being reviewed by AICN this week. You can find the review here at AICN COMICS.

Stephan!

July 22nd, 2008

untitled2.jpg

This piece is titled “Stephan”. Like the majority of my other works it is 24″ x 30″ and executed in oils. The initial image is taken from COPS, one of the most depressing shows ever allowed on network television.

On another note I saw THE DARK KNIGHT and it was fun, too bad we won’t be able to see Ledger in that role again, I think he did a great job with it. What a brilliant Summer movie season we’re having, actually what a great year and a half of film. Starting with ZODIAC things have been looking up, so many popcorn and intellectual classics have come out. I just hope it keeps up.

To conclude the WOWIO site is down and will be up again shortly and HOW TO BE BULLETPROOF #2, in its entirety, is available at INDY PLANET for 3 bucks by mail order.

FUCK’N LOUD MOUTH!

July 15th, 2008

Other films that were not mention in my List of Magnificent Science Fiction Films Honorable Mentions List that deserve… mentioning are Starship Troopers, Total Recall, Jurassic Park, and the first tolerable sci-fi film aimed at an audience 8 years old and younger…Wall-E. It’s probably the most politically minded Pixar film to date. This week the painting commemorating my lack of film recognition is entitled Andrew. I think it’s taken from Sunny Chiba’s Street Fighter 2, I might of already posted it in one of my previous news postings. Let me state something that might of not been stated if this picture was indeed posted prior to this posting. It’s named after a friend of mine who worked coat check with me and he is a FUCK’N loud mouth!

Indonesian Abstract!

July 8th, 2008

Here’s a painting, another one based off of appropriated television imagery. I gave this painting to my neighbor and two days later he gave it back. He said he bought a painting of a boat and felt more comfortable having that hang in his room than my image. I can’t blame him, I guess.

I was going to complain about something but I can’t remember what it was…hmmm.

Mormons!

This is one of the strangest films I have seen in a while. I had to share my amazement of this cartoon with you, my readers.

Muppet!

This painting is entitled “Muppet”.

This school thing is pissing me off. I’m going to have to limit my news updates to twice a month, the first week and then the third. The next official post will be Tues. July 1st (I think THE DARK KNIGHT will be opening around that time, I hope it’s good). Anyways, hopefully I’ll still be able to keep completing one page a week but at the rate I’m going now it will probably be adjusted to 2 tiers a week. What can I say, life sucks.

On another note I accidentally made HOW TO BE BULLETPROOF #2 available in it’s entirety as a FREE .pdf download on WOWIO. Oops. Well, it’s there if you can’t wait to see what happens. I was hoping to first get the Ka-Blam print version available then WOWIO but who the fuck cares anyways, outside of me.

I’m going to be busy, maybe…just maybe everything will turn out o.k.,

List of Magnificent Science Fiction Films

June 10th, 2008

metropolis1.jpg

These are, in my humble opinion, the greatest Science Fiction films in all of HUMANITY!
Not in numerical order, simply in order of when I remember the film’s title.
2001: A Space Odyssey
Le Voyage dans la Lune (A Trip to the Moon)
Metropolis
Frankenstein
Gattaca
War of the Worlds
Earth vs. The Flying Saucers
The Day The Earth Stood Still
Je T’Aime, Je T’Aime
Solyaris
The Forbidden Planet
The Original Planet of the Apes series
The Original Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back
-The beginning of the modern Hollywood franchise.
A Clockwork Orange
Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Brazil
20 Million Miles to Earth
Ghost in the Shell and the SAC1 & 2 series
Akira
Every version of Blade Runner
Alien
Pi
The Abyss: Director’s Cut
Videodrome and eXistenZ
Children of Men
A Scanner Darkly
Honorable Mentions: Logan’s Run, Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan, everything by Ray Harryhausen, Predator, Aliens, Robocop, Mad Max, The Road Warrior, Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome(Mainly because of the rubber band chainsaw fight.), E.T. The Extraterrestrial, Joss Whedon’s Firefly series, The Terminator, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, the ending of Terminator 3, Twelve Monkeys, X-men, X2, Babylon Five seasons 2, 3, & 4, The new Battlestar Gallatica seasons 1 & 2, Star Blazers (a.k.a. Space Battle Cruiser Yamato), Robotech (a.k.a. Macross, Southern Cross, and Mospedia), Spider Man 2, Iron Man, and probably The Incredible Hulk( This is a guesstimate, if it turns out to be a terrible film I will remove it from the Honorable Mentions list). The reason Batman Begins is not on the list is because I feel it falls more in the Superhero genre than Sci-fi. The issue with Spider Man 2 is that it can really fit in both where as the X-men, Iron Man, and probably Hulk fit more in the Sci-fi genre than Superhero. Of course this is merely the Honorable Mentions list so, who cares. If anyone of you want to challenge my list, please inform me of any mistakes and/or omissions. Also on the Honorable Mentions list, Saturn 3, Silent Running, and Dark Star. Also every Japanese Godzilla film ever made, Gamera too, and Both versions of David Lynch’s Dune.

Saint Francis!

June 3rd, 2008

st_francis.jpg

I was writing out my list of the greatest sci-fi films in all of humanity but I accidentally switched pages and the blog software I use deleted what I wrote. I am so angry, it was a magnificent list. Possibly next week I will finish the list and present it for public viewing. I’ll let you have a little taste of the list…

Gattaca. The painting above is entitled “Saint Francis”, I gave the painting to a friend and the image is appropriated from a fascinating show called “Cheaters”…

I do Well!

May 27th, 2008

I did good on my finals and have about two weeks to crank out some pages before the whole mess starts up again. To celebrate my return to news worthy action I have chosen a beautiful painting brushed onto canvas by my diligent hand to talk about this week. It is magnificently titled “American Oeuvre”, and it represents all that is good and just in our society. Well, anyways, I won’t bore you with details that truly can’t be uttered openly in this public setting. Has anyone seen the new Indiana Jones movie? I heard it was good.
